Cookie policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page lists every cookie this website sets, who sets it and how long it lasts. It is a short list, and you can turn most of it off.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device so that it can recognise the same browser again. Related techniques store a value in the browser instead of in a cookie; they do the same job and are covered here in the same way.

What this site sets

Only the first line below is set without asking. Everything else waits until you accept it in the banner.

WhatSet byWhat it doesLastsNeeds consent
CookieConsent Cookiebot Remembers what you chose in the consent banner, so you are not asked again on every page. 1 year No — this one is what makes your choice stick
_ga, _ga_13ENNQ6LYR Google Analytics Counts visits and tells one returning browser from another, so we can see which pages are read and which are skipped. 2 years Yes
_fbp Meta Lets us see whether an advert on Facebook or Instagram led to a visit here. 3 months Yes
_gcl_au Google Records that you arrived from a Google advert, so that a booking can be attributed to it rather than counted twice. 3 months Yes

Google Tag Manager loads the ones above but sets nothing of its own. We set no cookies of our own at all: the sunset times on this site are worked out in your browser and stored nowhere, and the site remembers nothing about you between visits.

Change your choices

You can change your mind whenever you like, in either direction, and it takes effect straight away.

If that button is not showing, the consent banner has not finished loading yet — give the page a moment, or use the same link in the footer.

Blocking them in your browser

Every browser can block or delete cookies on its own, under settings or preferences, and that works whatever we do. Blocking the consent cookie has one odd side effect: we lose the record of what you chose, so the banner asks you again on your next visit.

More information

What happens to personal data more generally — who is responsible for it, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do about it — is set out in our privacy policy.
